Elia Erhart and Pierre Kaffer will share a cockpit once again at this year's 24h Race at the Nürburgring (01–02.06.2024). The driver duo, already competing together in the race series, will take on the legendary endurance classic for the Juta Racing team in an Audi R8 GT3 EVO II, which will be used in the PRO-AM category.

“The 24h Race at the Nürburgring is one of the absolute highlights on the racing calendar, and we’re already really looking forward to it. Together with the Juta Racing team, whom we met during our appearances in the 24h Series, we want to successfully master the Eifel Marathon in the ‘Green Hell’ and fight for a leading position in the PRO-AM category,” agree Kaffer and Erhart. For the two EFP:racing by TECE drivers, it will be their third joint outing at the Nürburgring 24h Race, after competing together in 2020 and 2022.

“Yesterday, I was still part of the Mercedes-AMG GT2 project, which was extremely exciting for me and from which I take away many positives. Now, however, I’m looking forward to returning to the Audi R8 LMS at the 24h Race and taking the wheel again with my long-time teammate Pierre,” says Erhart. His teammate Kaffer adds: “I have many fond memories of the 24h Nürburgring, such as my overall victory in 2019. So I’m very happy to return to Germany’s most important motorsport event with an Audi R8 LMS after a one-year break.”

The driver line-up will be completed by "Selv" and Alexey Veremenko, who impressively demonstrated their potential at the 2023 24h Race with a victory in the highly competitive Porsche 992 GT3 Cup class (CUP2). This season, they are among Juta Racing’s drivers at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and were able to gain valuable experience with the Audi R8 LMS at the Nordschleife during the first round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS).

“We are convinced that we have a strong package with which a lot will be possible in the PRO-AM category. Juta Racing is not only a team with great tradition in Lithuania but also brings a wealth of experience to the Nordschleife, for example through their commitment to the ADAC GT Masters last year. We are very much looking forward to working together and would like to extend a big thank you to all the partners who have remained loyal to us for many years and who make such commitments possible in the first place,” say the two EFP:racing by TECE drivers.

Promising Season Start in the 24h Series and an Attractive 2024 Race Calendar

For Elia Erhart and Pierre Kaffer, the 2024 motorsport season began promisingly at the end of January. They not only secured pole position in the overall classification for the 24-hour race in Dubai with the ’18 Audi R8 LMS from Saintéloc Racing, but also delivered a convincing performance in the race—despite an unfortunate, premature retirement along with their AM colleagues. At the 12h of Spa-Francorchamps, they rewarded themselves with a solid sixth place, despite extremely challenging weather conditions. For the two EFP:racing by TECE drivers, the 24h Race of Portimão (10–12.05.2024) is next on the schedule.

In addition to this engagement in the 24h Series and their participation in the 24h Race at the Nürburgring, a completely new challenge awaits Elia Erhart in the second half of the season. The Röttenbacher will compete in three championship races of the Ultimate Cup Series with an LMP3 car.
